Here at Dr. Fred’s Transmissions, we are masters at all things transmission. Our founder has been in transmission shops since he was 9 years old and started learning early on. He comes from a family of transmission specialists who operated their own transmission shops.

When we moved to TX in 2017, we decided that we would work in the industry for 5 years, get to know how the other shops operate and then we’d branch out on our own. In that time, we have learned quite a bit!

We are going to be the difference! We will have your vehicle in & out within 1-3 days max, depending on parts availability. Full honesty, transparency and fair pricingis our goal. We won’t ever try to sell a rebuild transmission if all it needs is a new filter or a transmission flush.

When we do a rebuild, we replace every internal part with brand new parts, insuring your new transmission will last! All of our work comes with a minimum of a 1 year warranty.

In this business- the transmission of the vehicle is only new once and that’s when it rolls off of the assembly line when the vehicle is produced by the manufacturer. From there, when the transmission fails, your only options are to tear it down and rebuild it or purchase a used transmission. We opt for a full overhaul, every time!
